Ayurveda and Healing
We at FindMyHealth, follow a treatment protocol based on Ayurvedic principles. Ayurveda is a complete way of life. It is a holistic health system comprising diet, Yoga, massage, detoxification, herbal remedies, meditation and a healthy lifestyle.
Ayurveda has two basic aims: First, to preserve the health of healthy people and second, to treat illness and disease. Thus, the ayurvedic definition of health by Sushruta: One whose doshas are in balance, whose appetite is good, whose dhatus are functioning normally, whose malas are in balance, and whose physiology, mind and senses are always full of bliss, is called a healthy person.
For a healthy person to maintain his good health, Ayurveda recommends dinacharya, where the whole day’s regime is mentioned, right from what time to wake up till what should be the bedtime ritual at night. Ayurveda also gives recommendations on ritucharya (regimen depending on seasons). Change in seasons can bring about flu or digestive problems. FindMyHealth uses these ayurvedic principles of dinacharya and ritucharya to give cold flu treatment, medicine for bad breath, medicines for bloating and other digestive problems.
Stress, a major factor in triggering many metabolic disorders like Hypertension, depression, Diabetes Mellitus and autoimmune diseases is also addressed at FindMyHealth. Stress increases the amount of acid in the stomach, which leads to indigestion and heartburn. When the stomach's acidic environment changes or becomes too acidic, a person may develop symptoms of an ulcer. Studies now show that stress can lead to sleeplessness thereby lowering body’s immunity levels.
Ayurveda has some excellent medicines for stress and anxiety. Ayurvedic treatment of stress involves herbs to aid proper sleep, improve digestion, detoxification treatment and certain yoga and pranayama to control the mind.
Other treatment involves, personalised medicines for haemorrhoids, gastric ulcer treatment, improving the agni or digestive fire and so on.
Embracing the ayurvedic way of health and healing goes a long way in improving the quality of life of an individual. The age old wisdom of our ancestors who believed in ayurveda are the greatest proof of the same.
Ayurveda improves not only a person's physical health, but also their well being, behaviour and state of mind. There is mutual relation between mind and body. Negative attitudes and feelings of helplessness and hopelessness can create chronic stress, which upsets the body's hormone balance, depletes the brain chemicals required for happiness, and damages the immune system. Chronic stress can actually decrease our lifespan.
Stress is a social issue . Our ancestor used to say that “work is health,” but we now realize that this way of thinking is not so true anymore. These days, society and the workplace put an unparalleled level of pressure on people because of that. The signs of stress are omnipresent, and its consequences are numerous. Stress increases the amount of acid in the stomach, which leads to indigestion and heartburn. The stomach depends on bacteria in the intestine to break down food. An imbalance in the nature of the bacteria can cause digestive problems. When the stomach's acidic environment changes or becomes too acidic, a person may develop symptoms of an ulcer. Stress itself puts a great deal of pressure on your stomach and abdomen, and upsets hormone and neurotransmitter balance. That may create an environment where foods that could normally be digested easily end up being digested poorly, leading to the creation of gas and bloating.
Stress also can flare up the hemorrhoid condition, Stress can also lead to a dry mouth, which can cause bad breath and the medicine for bad breath is fruitless unless the stress is corrected. Ongoing, chronic stress, however, can cause or exacerbate many serious health problems, including: Mental health problems, such as depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. So in treatment like gastric ulcer treatment, or hemorrhoid or while taking medicine for hemorrhoids or medicine for bloating, should control the stress and anxiety. Proper ayurvedic treatment or medicines for stress anxiety have a great role in our overall health. Weak immune system is susceptible to frequent infectious conditions like cold and flu . Stay healthy, and free from stress.
