It is recommended that you keep a track of your TSH levels to ensure that it does not keep increasing. Right now with proper diet and regular exercise can help to keep your thyroid hormones in normal levels. Few diet tips - get your Vitamin D levels in blood checked, since many a times hypothyroid is triggered with vitamin D deficiency, if the deficiency is high, you might require a supplement to rectify the deficiency. Include at least a fistful of nuts and seeds daily in your diet, this supplies the good fats, zinc and selenium required for proper thyroid functioning. Cold pressed coconut oil, has also shown to stimulate the underactive thyroid gland. Apart from this, ensure that you cook the cruciferous vegetables well before consuming. Cruciferous vegetables include cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage and so on which have goitrogens that can interfere with the thyroid hormones.
