Vidarikand
Vidarikand (Pueraria tuberosa DC.) is commonly known as Indian kudzu. It is a perennial climber with a woody tuberculated stem. It is a climbing, coiling and trailing vine with large tuberous roots, distributed nearly throughout India except in very humid or very arid regions and ascending up to 1200 m.

Male reproductive health
Traditionally Vidarikanda is used as a reproductive herb. Vidarikand churna in the dose of 6 grams per day for 30 days showed statistically significant results in Sexual desire, penile erection and Penile Rigidity. Hence the Vidarikanda is a worthy choice of drug in treating Klaibya (Erectile Dysfunction).
Vidarikanda contains Diazein, Puerarin, and Genistein which acts as Antioxidants, Nueroprotector, Antidepressant and Anxiolytic activity. The scientific analysis of reproductive activity analyses reveals that Diazein, Puerarin, and Genistein present in Vidarikanda interact with androgen receptors and help in the secretion of Testosterone hormone.
Vidarikanda contains Tuberosin which acts as Antioxidant. By its antioxidant property of Tuberosin it secretes the Nitric oxide in penile tissue. Nitric oxide is a chemical compound that plays a major role in male sexual function. An abundance of nitric oxide can improve circulation and lead to more frequent erections.

As such no severe toxicity or side effects have been found for vidarikand but the Herb in some cases is associated with nausea,headache, and fever.It might slow blood clotting.

- It causes miscarriage.
- It exerts post-coitus antifertility effect in women.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: There isn't enough reliable information to know if kudzu is safe to use when pregnant or breastfeeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use.
