Hair comes in many different lengths, styles, colors, textures. Everyone falls prey to at least one hair problem at some point in life no matter the type of hair you have like grey hair, hair fall, dryness, baldness, dandruff etc.
According to Ayurveda there are three biological elements present in our body they are vata, pitta and kapha which should be in balance. For healthy hair and scalp balance of these three elements is necessary.
In Ayurveda, the hair is a byproduct of the bone tissue. Strength of agni (the digestive fire) determines the quality of nourishment received by organs and tissues throughout the body, including the hair. If the digestive system is weak or deranged, it will result in impaired digestive products with accumulation of toxins in the body leading to imbalance of three elements.
The health of the hair begins with the food we eat, and depends deeply on our digestive strength as does the health of every other tissue and system.
