Dry and Frizzy Hair

Overview

Dry hair develops when the hair doesn't get proper nutrients or retain enough moisture. Sometimes, hair doesn’t make enough oil, which leads to dry hair.

Also Each strand of healthy hair has a protective layer called the cuticle. shielding your hair from heat and sun damage. When a cuticle’s layers separate and peel away from hair, its ability to hold moisture is compromised - some oil escapes leading to Dry frizzy hair.

Treatment

  2. Rejuvenate the whole body and maintain healthy hair.

The first line of treatment should always be avoiding the causative factor and should adopt proper oil massage for retaining moisture in the hair.  If the problem persists then consider the following treatment protocol.

  • Dry hair tries to absorb moisture out of the air, causing each hair’s cuticle, or outer layer, to swell up, instead of lying flat. The cuticle comprises overlapping scales, which separate and rise in moist air. This makes hair look frizzy.
  • Brahmi, Bhrngaraja, Narasimha rasayanam, Yashtimadhu helps to reduce the dryness by balancing the vata. They also help to rejuvenate the hair follicle and promote the growth of healthy long hair.
