Children's environmental heath is an important concern to the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH). Our programs are increasing focus and attention on children to ensure that they are protected from exposures to harmful chemicals and other environmental health hazards. HSN promotes the development of state and national policies, regulations, and funding for school facilities environments, and has won national recognition. HSN's coalition-building work has included the launching of a state-based network of organizations concerned with environmental health in schools, as well as the national Coalition for Healthier Schools.
